A guide to GnosisPools.info

The recently launched GnosisPools.info is a great tool for Gnosis Chain validators looking to monitor their performance. GnosisPools.info aggregates validators run by exchanges, companies, pools, and operators into a helpful dashboard that allows anyone to track their activity, giving insight into which validators are active, inactive or under performing.

How to monitor your validators using GnosisPools.info

If you own or wish to track an address owning 200 or more validators running on Gnosis Chain, you can easily monitor the aggregate status of these validators with GnosisPools.info.

  1. Simply identify the deposit address that is paired to your validator keys. This will be the address used to stake your GNO with the validator deposit contract.
  2. Once you know the address, navigate to GnosisPools.info where you can use ctrl(cmd)+f to search for the first 6 characters of the address.
  3. You can now click on the address in any of the charts to isolate its data, giving you a clear look at the validators’ status and performance.
  4. Monitor how many blocks these validators have proposed in the last epoch, how many blocks were missed in the last epoch, as well as the percentage of validators under that address which are inactive.

If you own 10 or more validators and wish to see them monitored on GnosisPools.info, head over to the instructions at the bottom of this post.

Understanding GnosisPools.info Metrics

Overview Metrics

GnosisPools.info shares a few chain-wide metrics to give validators a snapshot of the current network. See the current GNO price and the value of staked mGNO, as well as the total number of validators, monitored validators, slashed validators and monitored validator pools on Gnosis Chain.

Proposed Blocks per Epoch

Use the “Proposed Blocks per Epoch” chart to track how many blocks were successfully proposed by validators, attached to a specific deposit address, over a given epoch. As a validator, this metric can help give you an idea as to your performance in terms of earning rewards.

Missed Blocks per Epoch

Use the “Missed Blocks per Epoch” chart to track how many blocks were “missed” or unsuccessfully proposed by validators, attached to a specific deposit address, over a given epoch. As a validator, this metric can help you spot when your validators are underperforming and missing out on rewards.

% of Inactive Validators

Use the “% of Inactive Validators” chart to track the amount, if any, of inactive validators, attached to a specific deposit address, during a given period. As a validator, this metric can help you spot potential issues with your validators that have caused them to go offline.
