Gnosis Builders is excited to announce GnosisVIP, a program aimed at increasing the number and diversity of validators on the Gnosis Chain network. The first GnosisVIP initiative, the “Geographic Diversity Program”, was launched on April 19th and is designed to boost the number of countries with Gnosis Chain validators.

Already, Gnosis Chain has over 100,000 validators, spread across 60 countries. The goal of this incentive program is to further diversify the network to have validators in at least 100 countries by the end of the year.

Geographic Diversity Program

Bounty Incentive

As part of the Geographic Diversity Program, we are offering 14 GNO (~ $1,600), to 10 validators from 104 countries, for operating over a 6 month period from the program start date (April 19, 2023). Eligible validators will be able to claim their GNO bounty on a monthly basis in accordance with the following schedule:

6 Months (180 Days): Receive a rebate of 3 GNO
9 Months (270 days): Receive an additional rebate of 4 GNO
12 Months (360 days): Receive an additional rebate of 7 GNO

Program Eligibility

Bounty reward eligibility depends on duration of validation and the location of the validator.

In order to be eligible for the bounty rewards, validators must be operational for a minimum of 6 months, starting after April 19, 2023. Validators who continue to operate for a period of 12 months, can claim their bounty rewards every 3 months, from the 6th month onwards.

To claim the bounty rewards, validators must also be located within one of the 104 eligible countries:

Africa: Angola, Benin, Botswana, Cabo Verde, Cameroon, Comoros, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eswatini, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Lesotho, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Réunion, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Zambia
Americas: Bahamas, Belize, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Martinique, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay
Asia: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Maldives, Mongolia, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Timor-Leste, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam
Europe: Austria, Bulgaria, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden
MENA: Bahrain, Cyprus, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey
Oceania: French Polynesia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu

Validators that wish to participate must indicate their intention to claim rewards via the Geographic Diversity Program claims page. Eligible validators must request to claim their bounty every 3 months, from 6 months onward, in order to receive your rewards. Validator eligibility will be verified each time before a bounty can be claimed. Verification can take up to 30 days. Once you have requested your reward and been verified, your associated withdrawal address will be credited with the bounty reward within 60 days.

In conclusion, the GnosisVIP initiative aims to incentivize the creation of more validators on the Gnosis Chain network. The Geographic Diversity Program seeks to increase the number of countries with validators and reward network contributors with GNO tokens. This is an important step towards strengthening the network and promoting decentralization, which is essential for the long-term success of Gnosis Chain.
